Evgeny Kissin in Concert

The Jeremy Singer Charitable Trust and Brasenose College, Oxford invite you to a gala evening with the celebrated concert pianist and Jeremy’s cousin, Evgeny Kissin at the Wigmore Hall on Saturday 29th June at 6.30pm.

He will perform works by Beethoven, Chopin, Brahms, and Prokofiev. Evgeny is generously donating his performance and afterwards he will be joining everyone for a post-performance champagne reception and light supper.

Programme:

Beethoven’s Sonata No 27 contrasts a passionate opening movement with a soulful second, and Chopin finds moments of brightness amidst sorrow. Brahms’ poetic early Ballades evoke a bygone era, and Prokofiev’s Second Sonata, while exhibiting moments of lyricism, looks to the future.
